It's that time of year again when all the year 6 students are now off for their last summer from primary school before moving on to secondary school in September. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the year 6 students again this year from primary school Dorothy Barley in Dagenham. The total this year was up to 92 from 83 that I photographed last year! There were a lot of happy faces from kids that were excited about moving on but there were also some that weren't quite so sure about this big step, can;t say I blame them! When I arrived to set up the teachers were busily setting up the disco dance with colourful lights and decorations and the food was being prepared. I quickly set up and before I knew it I could hear excited voices filling the halls of the school. A few heads peeked around the corner curiously wondering what I was up to. Before long the students started lining up to have their photo taken. After all the individuals were done we took some time for group pictures and less than 2 hours later we were all done. Everything went smoothly and I had a great time and can't wait till next year to see all the new year 6 students. If you work in a school or know someone who does and are interested in me coming to your school next July to take photos of your leavers party please do get in touch.
