Golden hour photos, stunning right? Well to be honest I have always been a bit scared of light. Finding the light in an outdoor session that is. I'm worried clients are going to be squinting in the photos or have harsh shadows on their face over even worse, dark looking bags under their eyes. I absolutely love golden hour pictures though so bite the bullet and got myself out there. I've spend many many hours learning and finally had the chance while in Canada to put my knowledge to the test. It's definitely been a learning curve but I am loving the photos.
Get in touch if you'd like to book your golden hour session. Mention you read my blog post and receive 20% off these sessions. Limited time only. The best time to take these pictures is around one hour before sun down and one hour after sunrise, because that’s when the light is at its softest, lacking hard shadows, rich in colors and bathing your subject in even beautiful light.
I still have a lot to learn but I'm pretty darn pleased with my 3rd attempt with beautiful golden hour light. What do you think? Please feel free to comment below.
These 3 boys were great and I had a blast, even if little Rowan didn't stay still for more than a millisecond. He made me and his brothers work for their photos. I love all the out take ones of him climbing over top of them while they tried to pull him back into place. Good job boys!
